By now, you've may have noticed that some of the pages may have changed lately without me having said anything. It's been the usual - real life takes priority.
However, I am announcing that the Sapphire page has been updated with arena assignments. Keep in mind that we are switching to four featured arenas, so Arenas 1, 2, 3, and 4 will be featured. Because we are a good ways into this league, if for some reason, a contestant in a featured match falls under a .500 record, we will not feature that match in that respective Arena.
If there are any small mistakes, I apologize, but there's a lot going on in my real life right now, and I've been trying to find as much balance as I can between both ISML and the real world. If I'm able to free up some time, I'll be able to develop this league, but right now, there are other things that need my attention.
I have been very busy of late, so what I have had planned will have to be done as soon as I can. Really, I don't know if I can get all contestants pages up and running by the end of the round robin, but I hope to get them up and running at the very least. I may have to make some compromises, such as the removal of schedules, which can be viewed at a page provided on the base of the contestants page.
The rules page has been updated with some new rules. With J Saimoe and K Saimoe approaching, I have updated the page with the new requirements needed to enter the league. If there are any questions, please feel free to come and ask.
I apologize for the late start to Amethyst 6, but the fuse blew out at home, leading to a power outage that I've tried to recover from. As a result, Amethyst 6 will now end @ 2600 GMT.
As if we don't have enough problems! I don't think Setsuna unlocked the secrets of the Topaz Necklace yet, because the moon is angry. And we're trying to figure out why.
Okay, storyline aside, everyone knows that May and June is big on graduations. I have a really BIG family - three relatives are having their high school graduation around our period. Three separate parties, all on weekends. And trust me, they're big. Two Rock Band sets, movie nights, so on and so on.
Which means Saturdays are now very very iffy for me. We would be unable to continue this league at this rate. But as this is kind of a dream for me that I am having and I absolutely love working on the International Saimoe League, there is no way on earth that I would shut this down.
So instead, we're making changes to our current schedule.
As you may have noticed, we run (or used to run) a Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday schedule. Now that Saturday's are a little iffy, I have decided to move all future match dates to a Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule, effective Amethyst 6, which will now be on Friday, May 23.
I'm kind of lucky that I haven't been up to speed with the Contestants page, because this means less overhauling to do. This week, I will be focusing on changing almost every page on this site to accommodate the schedule changes. I'll do my best to work on this as fast as I can.
Also, we are still looking for translators. Any language accepted, but Japanese is a must for this league. We will also accept secondary Korean, Chinese, and Spanish translators, in the case that something major happens to the primary translators.
I am literally falling apart here. Crisu has found another schedule mistake in Aquamarine 4, so two more matches will be re-done on Monday at a time to be decided, most likely 0100 GMT.
First off, I apologize for the many mistakes I have made lately. I didn't realize that real life for me has become so involved that I have been struggling to trying to keep this league intact. I have been hard at work for as much as I can, and this usually leaves me exhausted every night. I am trying to get just about everything straightened out here, so please bear with me as I try to get everything picture perfect by the time we enter Sapphire. I will do the best that I can to get this league straightened out.
Also understand that I have been undermanned in Aquamarine, since most of the work has been done by myself, and my double-checking isn't quite as accurate. Now that I have a personnel on hand taking care of most things for me, I have been realizing the schedule mistakes I have made. Since I want this league to be fair, I have to make sure that all these mistakes are corrected.
I'm having a full-blown headache today, so I've been catching up on my sleep. Right now, I am awake, feeling a bit better, but still don't feel alright. I will take care of the Aquamarine 9 results during Amethyst 2, and sort out the Aquamarine mixup.
Due to the re-scheduled Aquamarine 9 match, there will be no update to the standings tonight.
First off, we welcome aboard Crisu, one of our new Saimoé analysts. His job is to be compiling results and spread them out in an organized spreadsheet for easier reference.
Thanks to Crisu, we have spotted a mistake in the match sets. Two matches in Aquamarine 9 were not supposed to happen at all. As a result, Yuno went against Touka twice, and Matsuri and Nayuki would meet a second time in the Sapphire finale.
Because ISML is all about fairness, we cannot allow this mistake to go unnoticed. Therefore, Nayuki vs. Yuno and Touka vs. Matsuri is scheduled for 0000 GMT immediately following Amethyst 1.
In other news, I did say that I am changing the rules page. Well, one of our more devoted voters came to talk to me and propose a different method of dealing with double-elimination. While I am leaning toward sticking to my decision, we are talking it out to see if we can come up with the best options possible. Therefore, the rules page will not be updated until the end of Amethyst.
Just got through a rough inflexible involved weekend, but I have finished assigning the Amethyst schedules. But I'm a little tired, so I'll try to take care of everything else tomorrow, although I don't know how much we'll get done as it is Spring Cleaning week for me.
